I found this utility and remembered this thread, so I just had to post it:

CLCL

A clipboard caching utility. Whenever you copy text, an image or basically anything it'll keep a copy of it in it's history list. By default this list can contain 30 items (but is configurable), is remembered after a reboot and can be accessed through a configurable hotkey where selecting an item will paste it in the active window. It also shows thumbnails for bitmaps in the menu, and provides support for "Templates" (which are stored seperately and persistent, and can be organized nicely into folders).

All in all, I definitely could not live without it anymore. Heaven for programmers, and very useful for everyone else too.

Wow, that 's a really nice tool! Works great!

Oh dear, this makes it only even harder to work on another system (without my own handy tools)... Wink

I'll throw a few in that haven't been mentioned .. all freeware:

IrfanView - graphic viewer
Foobar - audio player
Crimson Editor - Text/Programming Editor
Dirkey - Allows you to bookmark folders, great if you are always navigating to the same folders all the time.
Samurize - Desktop enhancement

Yes, Thanks PsychoMark!

I've just switched from Clipomatic too. I was initially put of by the Alt+C shortcut key as that's taken by another app I use, but now I've installed CLCL I see that it's customisable and I've changed it to Clipomatic's Ctrl+Alt+V. Excellent!
